STORYTELLING
KEEPS IT COHESIVE
It’s imperative to create a framework for the visual aspects of your music video, and breaking down your narrative arc first will help to get started creating your treatment. A clear narrative allows you to explore any consistent or contrasting visual elements, overall tone, thematic elements, symbolism, and much more.
SETS YOU APART
In a crowded media landscape, a unique story is what will differentiate you from your peers. Your perspective on the world is your own, and can be the heart of your project’s brand identity too. A distinct narrative in a music video can help define an artist's style, message, and overall persona. Your music makes a statement about who you are as an artist. Your music video can add depth to that story.
CREATES CONNECTIONS
Music videos with a well-crafted narrative have the capacity to create a unique emotional connection between an audience and the music. The appetite for relatable stories is insatiable, because people are naturally drawn to work that relates to their lives, or offers perspective on the lives of others.
MAKES AN Impact
Your music video will stand out if narrative elements are prioritized. Viewers will remember your song and video as one, so the more fleshed out that relationship is, the more resonant the music video becomes. The first encounter with a fan is an important moment, and if your story is long-term recognition.

JORDAN KLASSEN
Virtuous Circle
Dir: Farhad Ghaderi
Prod: Shelby Manton
Virtuous Circle explores the joys and pains of brotherhood through the volatile relationship between an impressionable boy and his nihilistic self-destructive older brother, in the pursuit of winning a famous regional long-distance race. We follow their unorthodox training through the wild Canadian woods, across neighbour's junkyards, highways, and rainy Winter nights, focusing on the emotional intricacies of everything in between.
ALASKAN TAPES
OF WOODS & SEAS
Dir: ANDREW DE ZEN
Prod: Adam Maruniak
Of Woods & Seas is about the moment of realization that there is something in your life more important than yourself. Pairing the evocative and meditative music of Alaskan Tapes, the music video presents a story that explores the celebration of life through the bond of a parent and child, the natural world, and iconic imagery.

They take over the streets in their skateboard gang gang. A trippy, wild ride from beginning to end. It’s all about girls doing whatever the f*ck they want.
