From Ikaluktutiak (Cambridge Bay, Nunavut), internationally celebrated artist Tanya Tagaq is an improvisational singer, avant-garde composer and bestselling author. A member of the Order of Canada, Polaris Music Prize and JUNO Award winner and recipient of multiple honorary doctorates, Tagaq is an original disruptor, a world-changing figure at the forefront of seismic social, political and environmental change.

Leah Fay Goldstein & Peter Dreimanis
DIRECTORS

Leah Fay Goldstein, co-founder of Juno-winning band July Talk and feminist collective WIVES, is a Toronto-based frontwoman and artist. She earned critical acclaim for her lead role in indie film Diamond Tongues, nominated by the Canadian Screen Awards. Goldstein and July Talk strive to create a safer and more inclusive music industry. Peter Dreimanis, her core collaborator, is a musician, cinematographer, and creative director. Together, they founded Danuta, a multi-disciplinary art collective and production company. They have directed music videos for Tanya Tagaq, Born Ruffians, and Jasmyn. Their documentary Love Lives Here, intertwining July Talk's pandemic journey and behind-the-scenes footage, premiered at the 2023 Hot Docs Festival. July Talk's fourth album, Remember Never Before, was released on January 20, 2023.

SNOTTY NOSE REZ KIDS

Snotty Nose Rez Kids have won 10 Western Canadian Music Awards, had Polaris Prize Shortlist nods, Juno nominations, and an Indie Award. SNRK transcends labels and dominates Hip Hop, blending hard-hitting lyricism, empowering protest songs, and humour. Their live shows are a must-see experience. In 2019, they performed 100 shows in 6 countries. In 2022, they headlined 40 North American tour dates, sold out The Commodore, and appeared at the Juno Awards and Toronto Raptors' halftime show. SNRK inspires future generations to realize their dreams.

STERLING LAROSE
DIRECTOR

Sterling Larose is a Juno-nominated Canadian music video director. He is also a mixed media artist currently living on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and TsleilWaututh Nations. Originally from Nanaimo, BC, Sterling brought his unique take and often exhaustive processes of film and mixed media to Vancouver and began working with artists on music videos. Sterling prides himself on creating a style unique to him. Full of colour, texture and bold choices, his passion has led him to work with artists like Miguel, Mother Mother, Snotty Nose Rez Kids, SonReal, Clair Rosinkranz, Said the Whale, Young Friend, Meltt and many more. He enjoys mixing mediums and formats both in his still and video work, and he's always looking for ways to stretch his creative muscles and loves all things visual.

Eloise Cameron-Smith
PRODUCER

Eloise (Ellie, she/her) works as Producer and Post Production Supervisor for
commercial and broadcast projects at Hadron Films. Hadron Films’ recent work
includes feature-length comedy Thirty Seventeen and upcoming horror The Deep
Web: Murdershow (Spring 2023).
Ellie is based in Vancouver and is committed to feminist film-making practices and championing women and non-binary directors. She most recently produced a satirical horror short, “Hellmark” (2023) which will shortly begin its festival run. She has produced several music videos with Sterling Larose, including Snotty Nose Rez Kids – “Damn Right” and Young Friend – “Feral Canadian Scaredy Cat."
