ABOUT NEMAHSIS

Hailing from the outskirts of Ontario, Canada, Nemahsis began paving the way for her musical career in 2021 with the release of her debut single ‘what if i took it off for you?’

The release of her debut EP ‘eleven achers’ in March 2022 defines so much of what she does as an artist both sonically and visually; she weaves an intricate tapestry that tells the story of life as a young Muslim woman. Nemah went on to perform sold-out shows across Europe over the summer then shared her previous single ‘criminal’ in conjunction with COLORS studio towards the end of last year. She kickstarted 2023 with a welcomed shift in sound and visuals on latest offering ‘i wanna be your right hand’, which emotively reveals her preferred love language, acts of service.

Fresh from her single release, Nemah embarked on a debut run of North American shows, which included sold-out appearances in Toronto, New York and Los Angeles. Her LA show is a personal highlight, with renowned recording artist Stevie Wonder in attendance.

Nemah’s delicate, bright voice and ability to write lyrics that stop listeners in their tracks have led her to continued international recognition this year with praise not only from Wonder, but other renown story tellers from the likes of Elton John to Rick Rubin.

Coupled with her world-building visuals, Nemahsis looks on to her debut album as she’s cemented herself and one of few breakout artists in 2023.
